About Me and What I Watch

Anyeonghaseyo~ I'm Shannon and I'm an avid Korean drama watcher (and I'm a Mormon... for real. :D)! I love the cute shows and I can't seem to get enough.
The first Korean drama I ever watched was Boys Over Flowers and I watched it because Big Bang, the Korean pop boy band, had made a parody of it. (want to watch it? see it here [part one] and here [part two]) After watching the hilarious parody, I thought that I would probably understand it a lot more if I went and watched the real thing.
So, that was the start of my Korean drama addiction and it was about 3 years ago... I think. The summer of 2009 is when I got interested in Big Bang and then a little after I began to follow the whole K-Pop scene. And by the time I discovered Boys Over Flowers, I was completely drawn in to Korean culture, behaviors, and their language.
Now, three years later, I've watched countless shows most of which I've loved to bits. This blog contains my personal opinions and ideas about most of the shows I've watched (I've seen so many that's been hard to keep up with the reviews. I'm still working on it though~)

So what do I watch, usually? Often I'm drawn into dramas that have my favorite actors and actresses, no matter what the genre. I really, really love Jang Geun Suk and so far everything he's done has been amazing. I especially loved Mary Stayed Out All Night and you can read my review as well. Lee Min Ho is another favorite actor of mine~
When I'm looking for specific dramas that I like, I usually go searching in the Romantic/Comedy section because that's what I love the most.... moments when I'm laughing my head off and others when I cry my eyes out. So I'd say the preferred gene of mine is Romantic/Comedy. But, that aside, I also really like just plain romance. Take out the laughter, and we can get some freaking adorable, sweet romantic moments that make me cry and smile and get emotional.

The only type of drama's I really CANNOT stand are medical/ hosptial dramas.... I usually refer to these as Melodramas but I'm unsure if I'm using this term correctly. I absolutely hate the dramas that have to deal with patients in a hospital or anything like that. I even hate it when I go to watch a romantic comedy and characters are constantly at the hospital with life threatening diseases, etc. It bores me and just makes me annoyed.

Mmmkay~ That's just a little about me and what I usually watch!! If you're like me you should use my blog as a reference or idea to find new, interesting dramas to watch!!
Thank you~
