My Girlfriend is a Gumiho: Review

Aish~ I just finished watching My Girlfriend is a Gumiho and I completely bawled my eyes out. It was, perhaps the best drama ever... Although I say that about every drama I finish watching. But, I can also say, truthfully, that this is the drama that I cried the most during.

As always, the first episode turns you off majorly. It was boring, confusing and like many other drama "pilot" episodes just made me want to never tune in to My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. But dang! This drama gets great if you keep with it. I love it to pieces and I'm planning on watching it a few more times~

The Story Line: 7.5/10
My Girlfriend is a Gumiho follows a 21-year-old man named Dae Woong in which he releases a gumiho(nine tailed fox) that's been trapped in an ancient painting for over 500 years.

I gave this a slightly lower rating because, although the story line seemed very well developed, it was sometimes hard to follow and a few things seemed out of place. I also think it has a little to do with the different culture, but at first I was weirded out by the whole fox thing...but it made more sense as I got more immersed.

Characters: 10/10
The characters in this drama are the sweetest most likable character's I've ever met. No kidding. First, we have Dae Woong who is an adorable college student who, at first, is irresponsible and hard to trust. I like who he changes into and the character development that happens. :)
Go Mi Ho (the gumiho... haha) is so cute and I just love how innocent she is and I think that I connected well with her because she was...I dunno, so fresh? I really like to see "fresh" Korean actresses'.
Also, Teacher Park Dong Ju is THE hottest man I've ever seen. (No Min Woo is the actor.) Every time I saw him, I muttered "sexy" under my breath because I couldn't help myself.
I absolutely hated Eun Hye In...which is a good thing because she's the witch in this drama...and you're supposed to hate the witch. But that's bad because every single time I see Park Soo Jin's beautiful face... I want to scratch her eyes out. (the same thing happened with after school's Uee when she was in You're Beautiful...-_-)

The Romance/ Couple Chemistry: 10/10
The couple in this was so believable that I cried multiple times for them...even though I know it wasn't real... suck it. It seemed real!

Acting Skills:10/10
Awesome! I love the cheese factor of Korean dramas and actor awhile, you don't even notice anymore. Aigoo, I've been desensitized of Korean Cheese. Anyway, the acting skills were impeccable and I have nothing to criticize there.

Connection:10/10
I've been connected to these characters in ways I cannot describe all I know it that they are real...even though, in fact, they aren't.

Overall: 47.5/50
The only reason it's low-ish is because of the story line that is hard to follow.

But! I still suggest watching this. And if you hate it... there's something wrong with you.

Also, I know that some people dislike korean dramas because of the "lack of skinship." Don't worry, this dramas has plenty of hugs and kisses. :)
